Alyssa and Billy

November 16, 2008, at the Danversport Yacht Club

The ceremony started half an hour after sunset. The temperature was in the upper 30's, and the wind was blowing at 25 to 30 miles per hour, giving a wind-chill factor approaching zero. The ceremony seemed quite long to me (it lasted seven and a half minutes), and afterwards the formals were done outside on the lawn by the Gazebo. It took three minutes to walk there and get set up, then all the formals were done in 12 minutes. I had a parka over three layers of clothing, and I was cold. I have no idea how they stood it, but they did, and smiled, too. Once we were in out of the cold, it was a fun wedding (except for the guest that tried to catch the bouquet with her face).
